If Crazy Were Currency…: If I ever became pregnant I would have an abortion. Immediately. Without a second thought.

silversundancer:

I do not ever want children. I do not ever want to be pregnant. If I became pregnant I would not hesitate…

She can do whatever she wants with HER body not her unborn child’s

It’s not a child. It’s a fetus. It’s a child when it’s physically autonomous from hers. It’s in HER body. She has a right to take it out if she doesn’t want it there.

Sit down.

Call it what you want, but when a woman becomes pregnant, there are two beings! Yes, it’s in her body, but it’s not her body. She should either go through adoption, stop having sex, or get a hysterectomy.

Sit down.

“Beings” implies autonomy. A fetus is not autonomous. It is not aware. It cannot think or feel. It is using another person’s body and can only do so with their continued permission.

Consent to sex does not equal consent to pregnancy. Adoption is an alternative to parenthood, not pregnancy, which the OP obviously psychologically cannot go through.

That does not mean she is obligated to disable her own internal organs so that people like you can feel assured that you are controlling other people’s bodies.

Call it what you like, but you are, beginning to end, absolutely wrong.

In case you wondered how anti-choice people view people with uteri: Things to just get pregnant.

Hey, guess what, oh-snap-ignoramuses, doctors like to get on their high horses and refuse hysterectomies to young women*. Another case of people thinking they can tell a person what they can do with their own bodies.

Very good point!  Because they go “You’ll change your mind and want babies in the future, you silly little girl.”  So we’re pretty screwed no matter what.

Hey everyone its the OP! Yeah I am childfree, which means I never want to have kids. And I also will not be getting a hysterectomy because of the aforementioned hormonal consequences. And on the subject of having consequences free sex. You are correct! I would like to have lots and lots of sex and sometimes a pregnancy is the unfortunate result of having shit-tons of no strings attached sex. Also assuming that all sex is procreative is ableist and heteronormative. I am guessing you do not know what those words mean so you should probably look them up. But as I said in the original post, I would have an abortion. Your reasoning regarding consequences is just another square on the antichoicer bingo card.

But seriously though. STFU. You have absolutely no say in what I do with my reproductive organs. I will exercise my legal choice if it ever comes to that.
